Coming on great Alan. Pity about the extra work needed on the engines, but worth it in the end. Fantastic that May is there to share in your project...as the saying goes, behind every great man there is a woman ready to call you a sexist pig when you step out of line I'm enjoying being along for the journey. Great progress.

Hello,
The Starboard Engine is ALIVE and running on B5 BioDiesel !!!
Now to get the Port Side to fire up.... the Port engine will stay running as long as I keep a steady spray of "starting fluid" into the fresh air intake, but stops once the starting fluid flow stops... Obviously there is no fuel going into the cylinders. The port engine will require intense fuel injector repair to get running.
Overall.. I can get her to the slipway on the starboard engine !

Well..
Had Al over from Zenda Green to see if we could test a filter he picked up that would clean some contaminated fuel... and since I had a leak in a pipe that dumped B5 from the Starboard tank into the bilge... lets see how well it works in extremely contaminated situations...
I added a video of the current state of the exhaust of the newly running Starboard engine... I have much room for improvement... LOL

Hey All !!!
Friday morning at 9:00 AM (Hong Kong Time) I am driving the Big Foot to the Shipyard on just the StarBoard engine.
I have a few emails asking for a video of the slipway... Seems many are curious about the Chinese Traditional Slipway's... Should there be no problems, a video will be made LOL

Hello !!!!!
We have successfully made it to the shipyard on just the Starboard Engine !
The more load we put on the Starboard Engine, it seemed as if the additive I put in the oil to improve compression and seal the rings, was working. The blue smoke seemed to have completely dissipated by the time we reached the shipyard.
Most Importantly... She is up and out of the water. Ready for a good tummy rub !!!!

That looks like a lot of work, just watching the guys work made my back sore lol. looking forward to seeing what the boat looks like before you put it back in the water. are they doing the work on the top section also, the wall, tv unit and stuff?

Morning SD,
They are only doing the hull work. In fact, they will only be putting on 3 coats of varnish, and I will put on the final 3 when it is back in the water.
My experience has "leaned me" the first 3 coats need to fully cure for a while before putting on the last 3. Under the Hong Kong sun, any uncured varnish of the first 3 coats seem to gas or bubble and start to separate from the wood pre-maturely ! letting the first 3 bond and dry before applying more seems to last a lot longer here in Hong Kong.

Hello,
Here is one more update... The work days are long, and seem that I spend the majority of my time complaining to the shipyard, rather then being totally productive on my other tasks !!!!
No matter how much I complain... it still looks a million times better then it did more then a week ago !!!
The glass will always be half full with me, but the bank account does not seem to be half full recently HaHaHaHa...

Quite a marathon Alan. Pity the guys aren't paying the attention to detail you were looking for, but nonetheless, it's coming along very nicely.

Hello Everyone,
Well... The slipway was a 50/50 experience... The 50% good was the hull below the waterline and seems to be good now. The 50% bad was everything else.
I am back in the water where I belong, but I now have much more work to do that I am not able to do alone, thus in a bit of a dilemma on my next move.
One day at a time...., and you can be assured that the remaining balance of the shipyard bill is under protest, requiring a conference to redo the final price !

Every corner you turn alan, you seem to get more work to do. Love your upbeat positive attitude, even when the shipyard has only done half the work it should have. A year from now, all this will be a distant memory and you will be enjoying the good life with your good lady.
